Autism Driver Communication Cards – A Free Resource for Our Students

At Driving School of Florida, we believe every student deserves to feel confident, supported, and understood on the road. Our Autism Driver Communication Cards are designed to help drivers on the autism spectrum navigate interactions with law enforcement or first responders in a calm, safe, and respectful manner.

These cards can be presented alongside a driver’s license during a traffic stop or roadside encounter to clearly and professionally inform officers that the individual is on the autism spectrum. Each card provides concise, respectful information about communication preferences and any potential sensory sensitivities—helping promote understanding and reduce stress for both the driver and the officer.

We’re proud to offer these cards free of charge to all of our students as part of our ongoing commitment to inclusive and accessible driver education. Our goal is to empower every driver with the tools they need to stay safe, confident, and respected behind the wheel.
